David Fago, OwnerDavid Fago

David utilizes his over 21 year of experience in large scale construction projects and environmental safety to design integral plans for chemical and biological decontamination in businesses, athletic facilities, government affiliated buildings, hotels, schools, and hospitals to help these facilities become a safer place for people to live, work, and play. He founded EcoShield in 2011 to provide high performance, environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions in the fields of disinfection, sanitation and decontamination.

David is the CEO of Artemis Bio-Solutions Inc. a full service chemical blending company specializing in technical advancement in disinfectant products. Artemis is also a licensee (License No. 00-C02678.) of the Sandia National Laboratories Patented Decon Formulations, the most advanced full spectrum solutions for chemical and biological decontamination. Utilizing these resources, David has developed The EcoShield System® a proprietary multi-step approach to eliminate bacterial, viral, fungal and pathogenic threats.

David’s vision for EcoShield is uniting all phases of environmental services – research, development, chemical and equipment manufacturing, application, scientific process analysis, and validation – into one resource. David developed and implemented a brand new process for handling a specific environmental issue, and Fannie Mae adopted the process, nationally. David also holds licenses in the State of Florida as a General Building Contractor, Mold Assessor, and Mold Remediator.


Clay A. Hernandez, Technical Director and Business Development ManagerClay A. Hernandez

Clay leads business development and sales initiatives to ensure clients are provided with cost-saving decontamination programs that meet their needs. As Technical Director, Clay creates, manages and reviews all decontamination protocols and written emergency response plans for clients to ensure they have safer, healthier buildings. Clay has built a successful career with sales and management positions throughout the past 35 years. He is licensed in the State of Florida as a Mold Remediator and Independent Insurance Adjuster. Clay is the President of DeconTech Services, an indoor environmental quality consultancy firm.


Bud Jorgensen, Consultant and Operations ManagerBud Jorgensen

Bud provides consulting and management support to the EcoShield team. Bud obtained his education at Brigham Young University in Utah. He has been involved in both residential and commercial building, development, management, and selling for the last 37 years. Bud has also held a State of Florida Certified Building Contractor’s license since 1983. Being involved in multiple aspects of the construction culture has allowed Bud to be able to map out structural plans for preventing and fighting against contamination.


ADVISORY BOARD

Dr. Alan James Neumann

Dr. Neumann is a Biologist and Professor, who has taught General Biology and Introduction to Microbiology. He operated and maintained a central microscopy laboratory and conducted independent research in cell cytochemistry and spore dissemination. Dr. Neumann also developed a quality assurance program for an asbestos laboratory.

Dr. Neumann has done extensive environmental consulting, including indoor environmental infection control assessments, training courses in basic remediation and assessment techniques, and asbestos inspection. He has also worked with the Department of Defense in the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Branch.


Jared Sutton, MPH, CIC

Jared has a Certification in Infection Control and his Masters in Public Health. He is the Director of Infection Control at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg. His experience includes Infection Prevention Manager at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Performance Improvement Specialist for Infection Control at Manatee County Rural Health Services and Microbiology Lab Manager at Benchmark Enviro Analytical. Jared is an APIC National Member. He has conducted numerous speaking engagements with topics ranging from Eboli to outbreaks of Gastrointestinal Illnesses.


Robert Benson

Robert did his graduate studies in Chemistry at Notre Dame. He has worked as a Research Chemist at Miles Laboratories and Akzo Nobel and is currently the owner of Elektron Technologies. Robert’s expertise is in OTC Pharmaceuticals, Biocides, GMP Manufacturing, and GLP Laboratory Practices.


Lesli W Bordas, PH.D

Lesli W Bordas, PH.D provides a wealth of experience and knowledge to Eco Shield. Lesli’s knowledge is a valuable resource, earning her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2000. Lesil is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry and the Department Chair of Chemistry, Physics and Engineering for Spring Hill College where she has been for the past seven years. Lesli is a veteran American Chemical Society Councilor with five years on the Committee on Chemical Safety. She has earned several awards for excellence in Teaching and Leadership. Lesli has been published in over 19 articles. We are proud to have her on our team.
